Viv Tidmarsh shines at CAQ GC Women's Open Singles
Wynnum's Viv Tidmarsh finished higher than her seeding in her first CAQ GC Women's Open Singles at Eildon. Mary McMahon of Southport won the Liz Fleming Trophy.
big congratulations to Viv Tidmarsh, who competed in the CAQ GC Women's Open Singles held at Eildon from March 22-24, 2025!
The tournament saw 15 players competing in two round-robin blocks, each playing five 13-point games on Saturday. Sunday morning wrapped up the remaining block games, leading to the top four players in each group advancing to the championship knockout.
This was Viv's first time competing at this level, and she played exceptionally well, finishing higher than her initial seeding. A fantastic achievement! Well done, Viv!
The Liz Fleming Trophy was presented, by Liz, to Mary McMahon from Southport Croquet Club, the winner of this year's GC Women's Open Singles. The runner-up was Gabby Spencer, also from Southport Club.
