Twin Rivers wins Wynnum challenge for first time

In 2016, two brothers, Des and Ron, thought an annual challenge between their respective clubs, Twin Rivers and Wynnum, would be a good idea – and it was. This year was the 9th year of the challenge and the first time it has been held at the Twin Rivers club in Eagleby.

These matches, although hard fought, are always played in the best spirit of the game, and Twin Rivers has always been gracious in defeat – time and time again!

But this year was different. For the first time, Twin Rivers has won the challenge and at last our name will be engraved on the shield. There was much excitement as our President, Maia, received the shield from Wynnum's President, John.

It was a wonderful day and we look forward to a repeat performance in 2025.
