The annual Twin Rivers – Wynnum Challenge returned to Eagleby for the first time in nine years. Twin Rivers won the shield for the first time.
he annual Twin Rivers – Wynnum Challenge was held at the Twin Rivers Club in Eagleby for the first time in 9 years.
Three courts were playable, with the fourth court still heavily waterlogged from recent rain. The heavens opened up for a short period during play, but otherwise the weather was perfect.
The result at the end of the day was that Twin Rivers won the shield for the first time. Needless to say, they were very excited about it.
Wynnum President John handed the trophy to Twin Rivers President Maia amidst lots of cheers and whistles.
We look forward to them returning the shield back to Wynnum next year.
