Twin Rivers turns the sod on two new courts

t was an exciting moment for our club as we celebrated the turning of the sod and watched as work got started on our next two courts. Our committee and project team have been working extremely hard to get this underway, and we were fortunate to be awarded the State Government Active Game Day Grant and to have the wonderful support of Councillor Karen Murphy, who arranged additional financial backing from Logan City Council.

We hope to move forward and develop our club further by building a clubhouse on site for the comfort of our members and to enable us to hold gala days and special events in the future. With the Olympics coming to Queensland in 2032 and Twin Rivers being the only mallet club in the City of Logan, we want to be ready to demonstrate our sport to visitors at a first class facility we can be proud of. Most of all, we are happy to be able to offer the people of Logan, young and old, the opportunity to learn and play the wonderful game of croquet.

For this momentous occasion we were joined by our Patron and Federal member for Forde, Bert van Manen, Melissa McMahon, Member for Macalister, Councillor Karen Murphy and Councillor Laurie Koranski.
