Twin Rivers celebrates club champions at Christmas luncheon

lovely end to a challenging but exciting year, with almost everyone able to attend our Christmas luncheon. We enjoyed a great meal, followed by the presentation of the club championships, an auction of a Terminator mallet kindly donated by Star Mallets, and finally our Christmas raffle with lots of prizes to be won.

We were very happy that President Ian and Vice President Trevor were able to attend after both having recently been in hospital. It was also lovely to have Bert van Manen and Karen Murphy join us despite their very busy schedules.

There is lots to celebrate, as we recently welcomed 12 new members and our move to the new courts is happening mid January.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Happy and Healthy New Year.

## Results of the club championships

### Singles

Club Champion went to Ron Schodel, who won 17 of his 18 games, beaten only once by Bob Allen, with a total point score of 123 out of a possible 126.

Men's Champion went to Trevor Smith, who won 13 of his 18 games with a total point score of 118.

Ladies Champion went to Di Michels, who won 14 of her 18 games with a total point score of 113.

### Doubles

This tournament was cut short, so not all pairs got to play all of their games. However, the winners were Maia McGhee, Chris Byrne, Lesley Barber and Kathy Farley.
