Twin Rivers celebrates 9th birthday with visiting players

Happy Birthday Twin Rivers

Our 9th birthday celebrations kicked off on Sunday 25th at 8.30am as we welcomed players from Beechworth Vic, Graceville, Southport and Stephens. Our local MP Bert van Manen also dropped by for a game.

Everyone played four games with a change of partner after each game. There were lots of surprised looks and laughter as balls bounced every which way on the not so smooth greens. Despite the less than perfect conditions, hoops were made and the happy winners announced at lunch.

First group

- 1st - Sue F (Twin Rivers) - 2nd - Diane L (Twin Rivers) - 3rd - Charlie (Southport)

Second group

- 1st - Julie (Stephens) - 2nd - Julio (Twin Rivers) - 3rd - Bruce (Twin Rivers)

Our major raffle was also drawn on the day, with the lucky winner receiving a $500 holiday voucher kindly donated by Ingenia Lifestyle at Bethania.

We also gratefully acknowledge with thanks donations from Justea, who donated the tea bags and cups, and Woolworths Beenleigh Marketplace for covering the cost of the cake and decorations.

A big thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us, it was a great day.
