Toombul plants memorial tree for Aubury after 90th birthday party
Toombul Croquet Club has planted a tree in memory of Aubury, a Man of the Trees, with his brother Neville watering it daily. The club also celebrated its 90th birthday on 25 November 2018.

his was meant to be planted for the 90th birthday, but council doesn't work on a Sunday. The chaps were very nice, and Neville helped plant the tree, as it is in memory of his brother Aubury, who was a Man of the Trees.
Neville came along in his car every day for the first two weeks to water it. He could park right next to the tree, so it wasn't so far to carry the water.
It seems to be doing quite nicely.

We had a lovely party on the 25th of November. Carmel and Roy were presented with their very own shelter.
It's good to see that croquet clubs are still going strong.
