Scarifying day at Toombul croquet lawns

ayne directed us for scarifying, and he even got to rest in the wheelbarrow.

Neville, Caroline, Wayne and Hedi did the mowing after the scarifying. We looked like a lot of grots! So much grass coming off the lawns.

Toombul Croquet Club's Australia Day function was enjoyed by members of Eildon, Windsor, McIllwraith and, of course, Toombul players.

We raised the flag and sang the national anthem at 8.00am. People were in fine voice, considering we had no music.

Breakfast and champagne, cooked by Wayne, followed at 8.30. Golf Croquet play started at 9.00ish, and after lunch a few of us played A/c. I'm sure everybody had a happy day.

The lovely raffle was provided by Leanne Linard, our patron and member for Nudgee.

Thanks to all who attended.
