Tom Knight wins RSL Caloundra Classic

Now for the latest Association Croquet news: another win for a member of our club, Tom Knight.

Tom does not get to play much croquet, but when he does, he does it very well. Earlier in the year he won the Steve Jones Trophy at Bribie Island, and last weekend he won the RSL Caloundra Classic final against Les Watson (East Brisbane).

Once again, Troy McCallum (Bundaberg) played well to come 3rd, and Don Close (Gracemere) was 4th.

There were three full days of competition with some very skilful play. Tom and Les both completed Triple Peels.

Many thanks to Caloundra RSL for sponsoring the event for the last 28 years, and to all the Caloundra Croquet Club members who kept us well fed and prepared the courts.
