Last weekend, six club members contested the 2019 CAQ Queensland Open Doubles:

- Ross Preston and Neil Preston - Rosemary Newsham (with Les Watson, Eildon CC) - Ralph Allan (with Mike Giddings, Ballina CC) - Tom Knight and Heather Knight

Three of them made the final!

In a closely contested game against Ralph and Mike, Tom Knight finished it off with a double peel after already peeling Heather's ball through 4 Back.

This is the third Open Doubles title that Tom has won. The first was with Ernie Melville, and he and Heather won it in 2016.
