Thanks to Pine Rivers for hosting Queensland Gateball Championships

This was sent to me and I thought it would be a nice thank you to all who worked tirelessly to make sure the QLD State Championships went off without any problems, to put it on our Facebook page. Thank you.

Hi Gateball Players.

Gateball on the Move. 15 Aug 2023

This has been another great time for Gateball in Queensland. The Qld Gateball Teams and Doubles Championship was held at the Pine Rivers Croquet Club on the 12th to 14th August 2023. The Championship went off without any incidents to report, with nothing but compliments about how the event was run, the catering, and the overall event.

I would like to give the Pine Rivers Tournament Committee a huge thank you for their support, enthusiasm and work ethic during the months of meetings and planning. I would also like to thank the club members who volunteered during the tournament, for their enthusiastic approach and the way they embraced the three days as their chance to show that, even though they are a small club, they are quite able to take on a tournament like the Queensland Gateball Tournament and do it successfully, with a minimum of fuss.

I would like to give a special thank you to Mr Sep Hines for the weeks of hard work in getting the courts to a great standard for the Championships, and for his dedication to providing the players with the best possible surface to play on.

The Teams' event was played over the 12th to 13th August, and the Doubles over the 13th to 14th August 2023.

The Teams' event was won by Moreton Bay 1, with Southport Red in second place.
