Windsor Singles July Brooch results | Windsor Croquet

he Windsor Singles July Brooch had a very cold start this morning followed by the best weather to be playing croquet. We had clear blue skies with a bit of a breeze, but not enough to have to wear jackets. You have to love Brisbane winters!

Sixteen players from Eildon, Bribie Island, McIlwraith, East Brisbane, Nambour and Windsor enjoyed the sunshine and croquet games.

The games were closely contested, with the winners being:

- Block A - Carol Kleidon (Windsor) - Block B - Robert Kidd (Eildon) - Block C - Penny Verrall (Eildon) - Block D - Glynn Hasthrope (Windsor)

Congratulations to all the winners.

Thanks to all the players for making it such a fun day. Thanks to Terry Ericson for being the ref, Claire Warriner for helping Terry with the hoop setting, Judy Fairclough for tournament manager, Ann Wesener and Marg Wardle for baking the most delicious treats for everyone, and all our club members who help in very many ways to make the day the huge success it is.

The August brooch is already fully subscribed. Entries for the September brooch open on 20 August. Head over to our website to register.

Happy hooping.
