Successful Gala Day at Stephens Croquet Club

he busy-ness of May at the club continued with a very successful Gala Day. We welcomed players from Ipswich Croquet Club, Twin Rivers Community Mallet Sports Club Inc, Graceville Croquet Club, Wynnum Croquet Club and Windsor Croquet Club.

32 entrants vied for good prizes and there were some excellent closely contested games.

The winners were Danni & Laurie (Graceville), with Maude and Jim (Stephens) runners-up.

Block winners were Kath & Jenny, Helen/Jan & Barry, and Ces & George.

Many thanks to all the wonderful helpers who pitched in with the essential tasks, from court preparation to kitchen help, cleaning and selling raffle tickets. Thanks for the photos, Jannene.

Darren Cosgrove of Place Real Estate Annerley-Yeronga, who supports the club, was on hand to present the prizes. @DarrenCosgrovePlace
