The Club Patron, Councillor Nicole Johnston, working through the third natural disaster in three years in Tennyson Ward, managed to attend to update the club about local matters and present the Club Awards. The club has a new President, Val Layne.

We all enjoyed the Christmas Party and the games of Golf Croquet that followed. Although pounded by storm debris, the grass is greener than it was.

The renovation work was on track to be ready for the club's Annual Awards Presentation and AGM on 14th December.

What a coincidence that in 1932, on 9th December, the club celebrated "the opening of the remodelled club pavilion", and here we were 82 years later, almost exactly to the day, doing much the same thing.

With a lot of hard work cleaning up after the storm and some tinsel to cover the smashed windows, we were able to proceed as planned.
