Stephens Easter Tournament draws Bundaberg players; Mango Jam Big Band concert set for 15 May

Stephens Annual Easter Tournament a weekend to remember

This time last week, we were getting ready for our Annual Easter Tournament, featuring both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet. Players from many different clubs return year after year for this most enjoyable weekend. This year they came from as far away as Bundaberg and West Toowoomba, as well as the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and several Brisbane clubs.

The weekend was generously sponsored by Yeronga Services & Community Club Inc., and the weather and grass were perfect.

The two-day Association Croquet Advanced Handicap Singles was won by up-and-comer Zach Kominar (Merthyr Croquet Club). Well done! Ken Barker (The Range Maleny) was a very happy 2nd place getter, and Stephens' President, Jacky Lynch, continued her good form to come 3rd.

Thank you to Margaret Melville (Referee), Bruce Ford (very early starts as the hoop setter and Greens Director) and Jacky for the baked treats.

There is already a post from the Golf Croquet Doubles. Congratulations to Addison Matthews (West Toowoomba Croquet) and Jeremy Tasker (Stephens Croquet Club).
