Southport Gateball players celebrate Christmas season
Southport Croquet Club's Gateball players held a festive Christmas gathering with games, costumes and shared food. Members also farewelled two players heading to the Asian Gateball Championships in China.
n a beautiful Saturday afternoon the Gateball players of Southport Croquet Club enjoyed a celebration for the Christmas season. There were fun games played, the members dressed in suitable outfits and everyone enjoyed a wonderful range of food items supplied on a 'bring a plate' philosophy.
Also, it was a chance to wish Kathie Grant and Julia Tai a wonderful trip to Hangzhou, China, to play in the Asian Gateball Championships.
The colourful outfits even extended to shoes if you look carefully at the photo of Amanda Wentworth and Julia Tai. Rob and Donna Nicholson wore bright red tops, as did Julia Loveday Vickers and Dianne Sweet.
