Southport defeat Eildon in inaugural Golf Croquet Doubles Challenge

A dozen Eildon players headed south on Sunday for the inaugural Eildon vs Southport Golf Croquet Doubles Challenge, an event organised by our Megan Stuart and John & Beryl Turner from Southport.

On fast lawns and with a keen westerly wind the competition was tough, but there was still time for a few laughs amongst the players, many of whom had not met each other before.

Thanks to our Southport hosts for their hospitality and for the great morning tea and lunch.

The final outcome after 30 x one hour level play games was Southport 19 and Eildon 11.

Well done Southport and thanks for a very enjoyable day.

See you next year for the return match at Eildon.
