Soggy start but sunny finish at Wynnum

his morning the weather was overcast and showering with rain. We weren't sure if the courts were playable, however when we arrived, we found the courts were already occupied. The ibis and ducks were having a wonderful time getting worms and bugs that had floated to the surface.

We set the hoops up in very soggy conditions and as more and more members turned up, we decided to play on 3 of the 4 courts. Rooster tails were seen on the balls as we tried desperately to get to each hoop. As we walked across the lawns our shoes made a squelching sound, but by lunchtime the ground had dried out.

Jumping through hoops was definitely out of the question today. The clouds finally cleared away and the blue sky was visible for the afternoon play.
