Social play and afternoon teas continue at Murwillumbah, with a farewell to Joan Eccleshare

We have had a social event booked for 20 folk to enjoy a game of Croquet that had to be cancelled and we are not game as yet to arrange another date.

Our lawn is holding up very well however, and there has been some social play between our members here and there. I think the sun shone for a bit.

We will all be looking forward to some drier days and some comps in July, Association Doubles and Gold Coast tournament Ricochet in August.

Last Sunday of the month afternoon teas are still bringing in a crowd. There is always cake, even when it is raining!

It is always a sad time when a member of our club dies. Probably known only to locals, Joan Eccleshare, was a long term member of our Club. She was active within the club and did play in some pennant games. Aged 90 years of age her photo is seen here on the left.
