Second Level Doubles… First Class Play!

Saturday morning’s Second Level Doubles Competition was a fantastic showcase of competitive croquet, teamwork and club spirit!

Congratulations to Jennifer Young and Ian Leivesley, who won a strongly contested best-of-three final against Deb Camden and Straughan Briggs. Well played by both pairs in a lively and enjoyable match!

Our Second Level Doubles competition, designed for players with handicaps of 9 and above, continues to be a wonderful initiative — welcoming newer players into competition while giving everyone valuable opportunities to build skills, confidence and match experience.

With six doubles pairs taking part, the morning was filled with great play, encouragement and plenty of fun on the lawns.

A big thank you to Club Captain Andrew Cole for organising the event and to our trusty referee Penny Jackson for quietly supervising play throughout the morning.
