Rowell and Gidding win QLD AC Open Doubles, plus one more from Eildon

QLD AC Open Doubles

Six teams played the QLD AC Open Doubles over the weekend at Toombul Croquet Club.

In a close result, the winners were Yuni Rowell (Coolangatta) and Michael Gidding (Ballina) over Heather Knight (Stephens) and Tom Knight (Stephens). Both teams recorded 4 wins, but Yuni and Michael prevailed with 13 extra hoops.

Eildon's team of Les Watson and Wade Hart came fourth with 3 wins.

Well done to all, and thanks to Toombul.

Eildon Pennants team falls to McIlwraith in Brisbane

GC Pennants, Brisbane

Following a very windy Saturday, Eildon's Pennants Team – Jill, Di, Kay and Sue – were pleased to see a beautiful Sunday for their match against McIlwraith.

Unfortunately, while the weather was great for croquet, the results favoured McIlwraith, but everyone enjoyed a nice day in the sunshine.

Congratulations McIlwraith.
