Renaissance Gala Day a great success at Wynnum

The Renaissance Gala Day played on Thursday 4th July was a very successful event. There was a full complement of 32 players, with high and low handicaps playing together as a team.

Games were allocated 60 minutes, however it seemed that 7 games would not be achievable in that time, so games were reduced to 50 minutes. Many games went to 7-6 scores, which all players enjoyed as they challenged each other.

The 1st place winners were Trevor O'Hara and Alison Love with 7 straight wins, no losses. Second place went to Phil James and Chris Parker with 5 wins.

It was a pleasure to watch these games and to meet some new players as well. The weather turned very cold as the sun went down and players were very tired at the end of the day.

Overall, it was a fabulous day which would not have happened without the wonderful sponsorship from Renaissance Retirement Village, Victoria Point, who not only provided the winners' cash prizes but also a wonderful hamper full of goodies for a monster raffle. We appreciate and thank them sincerely for their continued support of our club and players.
