Remembering the 1974 flood that shaped Windsor Croquet Club

On the evening of January 24, 1974, Tropical Cyclone Wanda crossed the Queensland coastline near Maryborough, followed by five days of torrential rain. Over 6,700 homes were flooded in the Brisbane area.

The flood created severe damage to the Windsor Croquet Club lawns and infrastructure. But this didn't stop our members rebuilding everything from scratch.

We should never forget the hard work and sacrifices our previous members went through so we can all enjoy the magnificent facilities and experiences we have today.
