Ralph Allan wins CAQ Division 2 Singles in Bundaberg, plus one more from Stephens

Another 'clean sweep' for Ralph, this time at the CAQ Division 2 Singles for Association Croquet. Well done, again!

Last weekend, two days of competition in sunny but windy Bundaberg saw Ralph Allan the clear winner of his block, making it to the Final against Don MacGillivray (Bundaberg).

On the fifth shot of the game Ralph made the roquet and put together a skilful break of 9 hoops, then another break of 9, and then took the Black ball to the peg. Don gradually made hoops. An 'ooh' rose from the crowd as Ralph inadvertently pegged out Black with Blue still on 4 Back. He played well to keep Don to just 14 hoops. The score was 22-14.

Ernie Melville through to Caloundra RSL Classic Final

Five wins from five games in Block A have taken Stephens' Ernie Melville to the Final of the Caloundra RSL Classic for Association Croquet.

He is playing John Hardy (Laurel Bank, Toowoomba) in the Final.
