he Queensland GC State Team had a training session at Wynnum today under perfect skies in preparation for the Australian Golf Croquet Interstate Shield (ISS) to be held in Tasmania in September.

The courts were in good condition, making for some remarkable shots, displayed by all team members, so it was a good opportunity for club players to watch great play in action. Our very own club captain Deirdre was called upon to fill in for a few games as well.

From perfectly accurate long roquets and wonderful jump shots to extreme tactical play, it sure was a pleasure to watch.

Thanks must go to the wonderful ladies who provided the catering for the day, supplied by Jenny Pickvance, Deirdre Giles and Ann Brooks.
