The ISS Interstate Shield event to be held in Tasmania in September was cancelled due to Covid-19. As a final event for the Queensland GC selected players and reserves, an event was organised to be played at Windsor on Sunday 29th August 2021.

Deirdre Giles was asked to be the Event Manager for the day and organised all the players into two teams to play an ISS format match. Deirdre also helped the TR with some refereeing.

Two of our members, Richard Pickvance and Gordon Giles, played in the match on a beautiful sunny day. We had a professional photographer take photos of the Qld State GC team wearing their blazers.

After 9 hours of play, the Blue Team won 7 matches to 5, 22 games to 18, and 237 hoops to 232.
