Thank you, Moreton Bay Councillor Cath Tonks, for your support and for opening our tournament.
Pine Rivers hosts inaugural Gateball tournament

Last weekend, the sixth and seventh of September, Pine Rivers held their inaugural Gateball tournament. Seven teams competed for the trophy.
Moreton Bay Green took the trophy home, and runners-up were Cambridge.
The doubles had 10 teams. The winners were Margot and Darrell Porter from Moreton Bay, with runners-up our very own Jan Wellard and Kathie Grant from Southport.
Councillor Cath Tonks opened the competition. She is a great supporter of our Croquet club.
I would like to thank the volunteers from the Croquet club who helped in the kitchen, and also everyone who supplied morning and afternoon tea.
To our Gateball players, thank you for all the work that went on before the tournament. It was a great learning curve for us and I hope this is the first of many tournaments we hold at our club.
Thank you to Christine Roose from Eildon for doing the scores for us.
Also a big thank you to the team members who helped on Saturday morning to finish putting up the gazebos.
Pine Rivers Croquet Club would also like to thank our sponsor, Alex Gow Funerals.
