Pine Rivers Gateball team shines in Toowoomba

Pine Rivers Gateball team went to Toowoomba this weekend for the Toowoomba tournament.

The team of five were Jan Wellard, Carol Guy, Lynda and Paul Roberts, and Judy Stringer (acting Captain). Karren (Captain), Tracey and Gill were not available for this tournament.

The team played outstandingly and did everything I asked of them. Jan was the keeper of Gate 3 and did an outstanding job. Thank you, Jan, it can get lonely as a gate keeper. Carol did a wonderful job coming on many times to protect our balls from the opposition.

In our last game yesterday, Paul came on, cleaned up the opposition balls and ended up in a position to score a magnificent Gate 3, giving us the game on a count back. Today Linda showed us her skills by scoring not one, but two Agaris on the bell to give us the win by 2 points.

It goes without saying I'm very proud of our team. They show me what you can achieve if you believe in yourself.
