Nine Queenslanders head to Perth for ACA events

Go Queensland!

Nine Queenslanders, including one member of Stephens, are travelling to Perth this week for Croquet Australia (ACA) events for Association Croquet.

First off, Dave Luxmoore (Burleigh Heads Palm Beach) won the right to represent Queensland in the ACA Gold and Silver Medal event, from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 March.

It is great to see that his club mate, Yuni Rowell, is entering her first ACA event, the Australian Women's Singles, along with members of the Queensland Team:

- Captain, Kathleen Colclough (Headland-Buderim) - Willy Silk (Windsor) - Heather Knight (Stephens) - Reserve, Cynthia Tacey (Windsor) - Deidre Hardy (Laurel Bank) is also in the Team.

Dave will not be competing in the Australian Men's Singles, as so many days of play straight would leave him less than ready for the 5 days of the interstate Eire Cup that follows the Singles. He is Vice Captain.

The other male members of the Queensland Team, Troy McCallum (Bundaberg), Greg Bury (Windsor) and Lindsay David (Graceville), will compete in the Men's Singles.

Eire Cup: 20 to 24 March. Go Queensland!
