Charles Mitchell and Wendy Core have won McIlwraith's first club competition of the year, the Roger Brown Hi-Lo Doubles. They beat Ross Beer and Ian Leivesley in a tightly contested final.

Mitchell and Core win Roger Brown Hi-Lo Doubles

ongratulations to our first club competition winners for the year, Charles Mitchell and Wendy Core, for taking out the win in the Roger Brown Hi-Lo Doubles!

This event is proudly named in honour of Life Member Roger Brown, a significant contributor to our Club, who fostered emerging talent and love of the game.

Charles and Wendy faced a tightly contested final against Ross Beer and Ian Leivesley (6-7, 7-6, 7-4), with great play from both teams making for an exciting competition under the watchful eyes of referee Penny Jackson.

Adding to the special occasion, Lynne McPherson, Roger's wife, was on hand to present the winners' trophy.

Well done to all players for a fantastic start to the Club's competition year!
