Merthyr begins Brisbane Pennants campaign at East Brisbane

And we're off! Merthyr played its first Brisbane Pennants match at East Brisbane Croquet Club this morning. We put up a good fighting spirit, but it didn't come through on the hoop count. Special note to David Drake for bringing us our sole win today!

Congratulations to the winners, with thanks to the club and its patrons for a well-run and well-catered morning tea. Thanks also to Geraldine for refereeing the matches.

We're back in action May 12 at McIlwraith Croquet Club – watch this space!
