Last Sunday, the club held an afternoon tea in honour of Margaret's croquet achievements.

Margaret spoke modestly of her achievements and, when asked for advice, she suggested two points: practise and listen. Listen to all, then form your game.

Over a twenty-one year career span, Margaret won many top level events, all of which started from the Runner-Up award in the 1994 Division 4 Singles Championship (Association Croquet). She went on to represent Queensland and Australia and played in the Women's World Championships for both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet.

Margaret has always been a keen sportswoman. She was a sprinter as a teenager and has played hockey, squash and soccer, all competitively.
