Lindsay David wins 2017 Ena Mountney Shield

The Ena Mountney Shield (Association Croquet Singles) was contested at Graceville Croquet Club last weekend.

It was a really enjoyable tournament with players from many clubs:

- Lindsay David, Helen David and Kevin Melksham (Graceville) - Ken Barker (The Range Maleny) - Paul Ekeberg (East Brisbane) - Kevin Berry (West Toowoomba) - George Oliver (Coolum) - Heather Knight (Stephens)

On Saturday, there were two round robin blocks of three, from which the top two players from each played off for the Shield on Sunday. The other four played for the Plate.

Lindsay David had a very good weekend, not dropping a game, and was a convincing 2017 Ena Mountney Shield winner. Relative newcomer George Oliver won 3/3 games to win the Plate.

Graceville put on a delicious lunch and many laughs were had on and off the courts.
