ssociation croquet – another great result for Stephens!

This time it was the Queensland Mixed Doubles, won by Tom Knight and Heather Knight (undefeated), making it two years in a row.

The last game was a repeat of 2024, where the overall result depended on it. It was Yuni Rowell (Coolangatta) and Dave Luxmoore (Burleigh Heads Palm Beach) versus Tom and Heather.

Michael Eddiehausen, the Croquet Queensland President, was in attendance on both days and presented the trophy. Thank you, Michael.

There was another storm in the middle of play on Saturday afternoon. It stopped play, but there were lots of friendly conversations in the clubhouse while we waited it out.

A huge thank you to Jacky Lynch and Bruce Ford, who not only paired up to play but were there at 6am each day for hoop setting and other necessary preparations.

Thank you to the Manager, Helen David, and the Referees.

Thanks, too, to those who provided home-baked treats for between-game sustenance.
