John Garrard wins 2023 Graceville Challenge Cup
ongratulations John Garrard, winner of the Graceville Challenge Cup for 2023.
Inaugurated in 2021, the 'Cup' is an annual social/fundraising event in our Golf Croquet calendar.
Members came together last Sunday, playing under perfect autumn skies. The games were hard fought, but the clear winner was John. John was presented with the 'Cup' by Laurie Webb, one of our members who donated the prize back in 2021. John's name will be inscribed on the cup for evermore.
A huge thank you to Randall Whyte, who organised the day. The time and effort that went into this has not gone unnoticed. Randall's enthusiasm and energy that he brings to our club is second to none.
The day would not have been so successful if we had not had the wonderful food that Janet Crabb and Helen Phillips prepared for us. It was an ongoing feast, thank you both. (They managed to compete as well!)
Our club continues to offer its members sport, social interaction and lasting friendship.
