Ipswich Croquet Club's early committee and the lawns they asked for

The early Committee Members of the Club built a foundation we enjoy today.

In March 1927 they decided to ask the City Engineer for a new Court, and the cheapest way to get it. Early minutes show they asked to pay for it in instalments, because "really, we are beautifying the Park with all the money we are spending".

Come and play on the lawns they had the foresight to create. Play returns this Saturday from 7:30am, and Wednesdays at 7:30am.
