Hudson Cup 2023 finals decided at Burleigh Heads Palm Beach

The club's Hudson Cup finals have been played for 2023.

In division one, Steve (the 2021 division two winner) and John (a past division one winner) competed in a best of three matches. The third match wasn't required as Steve won in two straight games.

In division two, Chris and Joy competed in a best of three matches. Chris took an early lead, winning the first game 7 to 3. In the second game Joy fought back from 4 to 6 down to win 7 to 6 (with the 13th hoop taking 10 minutes to complete). So it went to a decider, with Chris eventually running out the winner by 7 to 5.

Congratulations to all competitors and the finalists. And a big thank you to those who turned out to watch these exciting games.
