Hervey Bay croquet players swap mallets for gardening gloves

Hervey Bay croquet players are always ready for a good challenge. On Saturday, they put down their mallets and picked up some gardening gloves for their new fundraiser.

Susan Korevaar, the green-thumb daughter of club legend Margaret Woods, gave expert instruction for assembling stunning hanging baskets and pots. Their goal? To create blooming masterpieces of colourful flowers and aromatic herbs, all ready to sell at the club's annual tournament, Croquet on the Bay, in early August.

Just take a peek at the jaw-dropping "after" photo in the next post!

Thank you to Susan for sharing her expertise, and to Bunnings, who were very generous in donating materials!
