Hervey Bay Christmas dinner and club awards celebrated

A Night to Remember!

Last night's Christmas Dinner & Club Awards Presentation was a fabulous celebration of camaraderie, achievements, and milestones.

Alongside the festive cheer, we had the honour of celebrating Jenny Campbell's 80th birthday and recognising the exceptional contributions of two members – Jenny Campbell and Joan Mathiesen. Both have dedicated over a decade of exemplary service to the club and are now stepping down from the management committee. Thank you, ladies, for everything you've done to make our club shine.

The night also saw awards handed out for this year's Club Championships. Congratulations to all our winners and runners-up:

A huge thank you to our groundsmen, Peter Spinks and Ken Clarke, for keeping our lawns in top condition throughout the year. Also, to Lyn Totman and her helpers for putting together such a lovely festive dinner.

We also had the pleasure of our very own club piper, Owen Capon, who played Happy Birthday on his bagpipes to celebrate Jenny's milestone birthday.

Congratulations again to all our awardees and a big thank you to every club member for your sportsmanship, hard work, and contributions this year. Here's to more fun and success in 2025!

Some photos were a tad out of focus – nothing to do with the red wine, of course! So, we've put together a collage of those bloopers. Even the pros have their moments – oops!
