Headland-Buderim players shine at Nationals in Hunter Valley
Ross and Helen Rillie reached the Knockout at the Nationals GC Gold events in the Hunter Valley, and Addison Matthews won Silver. Ross was also part of Queensland's third-placed state team.
ationals GC Gold – Men's and Women's Singles and ISS were held in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
Ross and Helen Rillie made it to the Knockout in Men's and Women's Singles, and were pleased to advance that far in such top company. Ross was a team member of the Qld State team, which came 3rd. Congratulations to all Qld players, you did us proud.
Our rep for Gold Medal, Addison Matthews, gained Silver.
These events are not just exciting to watch but a wonderful time for a catch-up with friends from around the states. It was great to watch the first timers do so well also.
The initial wet weather prior to the ISS affected many venues, and frantic reorganising meant a change to the format.
Quinn, the Qld team's mascot, was well guarded, as mascot napping has been rife in the past!
All events were live streamed on YouTube.
