Headland-Buderim members support Sunshine Coast Regional Championships
Headland-Buderim members took part in the Sunshine Coast Regional Championships at Noosa. Col Beckett and Russell Robinson reached the Open Doubles semifinals.
lub members Ross Rillie (Referee), Col Beckett (Player) and Helen Rillie (Supporter), along with former member Russell Robinson (Col's doubles partner), all supported the recent Sunshine Coast Regional Championships at host club Noosa from 3rd–6th March.
Congratulations to Col and Russell on making the Open Doubles semifinals (winners Gabby Spencer and Charlie Ernst). Col also made the quarter-finals of Div 1 Open Singles (winner Desley Bischoff, Eildon).
Noosa certainly had their work cut out on the last day, as wet weather made many courts unplayable, culminating in changed formats.
