Headland-Buderim members celebrate Australia Day in style

Australia Day celebrations were enjoyed by members at the club, who got into the fun by dressing up, playing two games of croquet, and entering most of the fun games provided. Thong throwing, Dunny Roll race, Two Up and Trivia were just a few of them.

Robyn, our convenor, provided Damper and Billy Tea for smoko, and Meat Pies with mushy peas and Pavlova for the 'Big Lunch'. Robyn was awarded the Rolling Pin trophy, again!

Some put creativity to the fore and came dressed as an ageing male Koala called Buck, Jackie Howe, and another depicting the Great Barrier Reef. I was really expecting a Chad Morgan!!

Colin carried out his duties as Auctioneer so successfully, selling off the re-rolled toilet rolls. Judith had the winning bid, with proceeds going to local charity Mingary Care.

Thank you to those supporting the day.
