Graham McLean wins SCRCC Champion of Champions

The Sunshine Coast Region Croquet Clubs (SCRCC) held a new GC Singles 8 and Under "Champion of Champions" at Bribie Island on 15 and 16 June 2024. It was played as a Round Robin Block, with 11 players vying for the Championship.

Our Club was represented by Geoff Hull and Gordon Giles. There were many close games throughout the weekend, and the winner of the Championship wasn't clear until after the last hoop of the last game of the day, with Graham McLean, Geoff Hull and Jenee Molyneux all on the same number of wins.

Graham McLean (Windsor) won the Championship with 9 wins and 26 net hoops to claim the prize. Congratulations to Graham on his great success, well done.

Very well done to Geoff Hull, who was runner up with 8 wins and 32 net hoops.

Jenee Molyneaux (Eildon) was third with 8 wins and 17 net hoops.

Deirdre Giles was the Tournament Referee for the weekend.

It was a huge weekend with great play, under beautiful clear skies, and thanks to the Bribie Island club members for all the great work done in making this tournament such a great event. Everybody really enjoyed the great hospitality and friendship.
