Gordon Giles wins Wynnum Club Open GC Singles

Club Open GC Open Singles Championship

Wynnum Croquet Club held the Golf Croquet Championship Singles on Sunday 10 October 2021. The weather was fine and there was a field of 6 players, who played in a round robin block. There were many fiercely contested games, and the score in some games didn't reflect how close the contest had been at some hoops. All players had at least 1 win on the day.

The winner was Gordon Giles with 5 wins and +27 hoops. He will be presented with the Metropolitan Golf Croquet Singles Championship trophy at the Club Christmas party later in the year.

Deirdre Giles was kept very busy as the only referee for the day, looking after all the games being played on 3 courts.

Results are on croquetscores.
