Gladstone celebrates new shade shelter with Open Day

Last Saturday the Gladstone Croquet Club held a successful "Open Day" to celebrate the completion of the new shade shelter.

Glenn Butcher, our Local Member of Parliament, spoke to the gathering about the importance of community sporting groups in encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors, to keep physically and mentally active and for the opportunity to develop rewarding friendships.

Following morning tea, participants aged between 10 and 86 enjoyed time on the courts learning about the game.

Thank you to our 3 surprise guests from the Gracemere Club who travelled quite a distance to join us.
