Geoff Hull wins Sunshine Coast Region Singles at Bribie Island

Wynnum Croquet Club members Gordon Giles, Geoff Hull, Richard Pickvance and Ron Schodel played in the Sunshine Coast Region Croquet Tournament (SCRCC) Singles held at Bribie Island on Saturday 14th April 2018.

The four blocks played off in a round robin format in the morning. The winners of each block (Geoff and Ron) went into another block, Block E, to play off for 1st and 2nd prize in the afternoon.

The remaining blocks were made up from the positions in the morning blocks: 2nds (F), 3rds (G) and 4ths (H).

In the top block, E, at the end of the round robin, three players were tied on two wins each, and eventually Geoff Hull won 1st prize on count back of net hoops.

All Wynnum players did very well and three ended up winning their final blocks. Gordon and Richard received a nice handshake from Florence McLaren for winning their blocks. Well done to all.
