Geoff Dickie wins Div 2 Association Croquet Medal by a single hoop at Stephens, plus one more from Stephens

Geoff Dickie wins 2015 Div 2 Association Croquet Medal

Results of the 2015 CAQ Div 2 Association Croquet Medal competing for the Jean Limpus Memorial Trophy.

The result depended on the last round of matches, as Geoff Dickie and Heather Knight had both won 3 games. They both won in the last round, and the result was determined by the number of hoops won over the five rounds. Even this was a very close outcome… Geoff won by one!

Gold Medallist and Jean Limpus Memorial Trophy: Geoff Dickie

Silver Medallist: Heather Knight

Bronze Medallist: Trevor Hamersley

Many thanks to Event Manager, Val Layne, and Referee, Ernie Melville.

Stephens hosts Queensland Div 2 Medal for Association Croquet

Meanwhile, back in Brisbane, Stephens hosted the Queensland Div 2 Medal for Association Croquet in perfect conditions (until the storm came through right at the end of the fifth and final round).

The club looked great with the new club flag on our replacement flagpole and nearly all the 2014 storm damage repaired.

Last year's winner, Geoff Dickie (Bundaberg), was able to come and defend his 2014 title against Barbara Northcott (Southport), Hedi Trask (Windsor), Trevor Hamersley (Toombul), and Ross Preston and Heather Knight (both Stephens).

Results to follow.

Queensland had another 'close loss' against WA (6–7).

Congratulations to VIC.
