Fierce competition at CAQ Mixed Doubles in Wynnum

Wynnum Croquet Club hosted the CAQ Mixed Doubles event this weekend, where the competition was fierce, some amazing shots were played and the enthusiasm for the game was very evident.

The weather conditions were extreme with the heat, and competitors were forced to ensure they stayed hydrated. Some games only went to 4 or 5 hoops (instead of up to 13), which shows the determination of each player. It was a joy to watch every game as they all battled it out to the end.

First place went to Geraldine Trivett and Stephen O'Hare, with second place going to Kevin and Nuran Melksham. Congratulations to you all.

Thanks must go to the Tournament & Events Managers, the referees, all the players and also the ladies in the kitchen. Thank you all.
