Eildon GC Invitational produces close finishes despite dreary weather

lthough the weather was dreary and miserable, the play at the Eildon GC Invitational Event was anything but. There were 8 male nominations and 8 female nominations in the double round robin event. There were many close games and, of course, the occasional upset.

The winner of the Men's 2025 Invitational was Shane from Windsor, who won 12 games. The runner-up was Steve with 8 games and 11 net hoops, followed by Casey with 8 games and 8 hoops.

The Women's block was very tightly contested, with three players all winning 9 games. Claire, Jenee and Alison all won 9 games, with Claire winning the trophy on 8 net hoops. Jenee scored 4 net hoops and Alison 3. What a great finish.

Among the Eildon players, Desley won 8 games, John won 7 and Megan won 4.

Congratulations to all the players.

Special thanks to the volunteers, without whom no event in croquet could occur.
