As President Jill mentioned in her speech, the club was looking and doing better than many of its members who are also in their 7th decade. The clubhouse has had a refit, been repainted, had its perimeter restored and is in good health.
Thank you to our visitors: the newly elected Federal member, Emma, members from the Breakfast Club, representatives from other CAQ clubs, as well as former presidents and members, who shared lunch and laughs with us.

Eildon Croquet Club celebrates its 70th anniversary

Photos from the 70th Eildon Croquet Club celebrations held on Friday 13th June 2025.
The club has over 80 members, is in a great location and has great facilities which have been developed by volunteers over the 70 years of its existence, and we look forward to its continued growth. The club has been built by volunteers who have given many hours of their time and effort in building a club that is welcoming, encourages members to play any of the four croquet codes, and has strong leadership.
It was a pleasure to have a visit from George Lawson's grandson. George was a club stalwart and has court 4 named in his honour.

Eildon gateball team braves wet weather at Moreton Bay

The Eildon Gateball Team played at the Moreton Bay Gateball Competition held on 15 June. Eildon nominated one team consisting of Mary, Margaret, Richard, Grahame and Jules, and one pair, Mary and Margaret.
The weather was very, very wet and cold, so not conducive to playing great Gateball, and only five games were played before being called off. This was the first event that this team had played together and it provided a challenge to the other teams.
In the pairs competition, held on Sunday, Margaret and Mary won two from five games, one of which was against the eventual winners of the Doubles Event.
Thank you to the Moreton Bay Gateball Club for their hospitality and the opportunity to play competition Gateball.
The next Gateball event is at Southport at the end of June. Eildon has nominated one team and two double teams for this event.
